노르웨이의 레뫼이매니지먼트그룹(Remøy Ship Management)은 네덜란드 다멘조선그룹(Damen Shipyards Group)과 인도계약을 체결하여 양식장용 다목적선박인 UV4312를 내년 1분기 인도받을 예정이다. 볼트 프로세서(Volt Processor)라는 이름의 이 선박은 노르웨이 연어 양식장에서 수산물 가공과 운반, 작업자 및 장비의 운반과 배치, 기타 작업 등을 위한 장소를 제공할 예정이다.
볼트 프로세서는 연어 생육 기술에 최적화되기 위해 설계단계에서 양식 현장의 의견이 수용되었다. 가공 과정에서의 화학 물질 최소화 설비, UV 살균시설, 해충(sea lice 등)방제, 유연전원공급장치, 작업자 주거시설 등이 갖추어져 있으며, 건현을 낮춰 선상 어체 관리 및 이 제거 작업 시 양식 어류가 받는 스트레스를 최소화 할 수 있도록 설계되었다.
다멘조선은 UV 4312를 비용 효율적인 자체 추진식 부유형 워크스테이션으로 소개했다. 이 선박은 이전의 작업용 바지선(wellboat)대비 향상된 설비 유연성 및 비용·작업 효율성을 제공할 것이다.
