○ 최근 일각고래의 호흡에 관한 연구결과가 화제가 되고 있는데, 일각고래는 두 개의 치아가 있는 고래로 수컷의 치아 하나가 뿔처럼 매우 길게 발달한 북극의 놀라운 창조물이라고 합니다. 플러스 원(PLOS one) 저널에 따르면, 일각고래는 소리로 주변을 탐지하는 등 소리 감지 능력이 매우 특별하며, 극한의 북극에서 일생을 보내며 주로 어둡고 얼음이 많은 캐나다 동부와 그린란드에 서식하고 있다고 합니다.
