- ◐ 2022년 연초, 세계적인 참치 수요 지속으로 증가세를 보였던 우리나라 참치 수출이 3월 들어 보합세로 돌아섰습니다.
그러한 이유에 대해 살펴볼까요?
◐ 라니냐 현상의 지속
해수면 온도가 낮아지는 라니냐 현상이 연초까지만 해도 3월~5월에는 끝이 날 것으로 전망되었지만, NOAA 등에 따르면 라니냐 현상이 6월까지 이어질 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.
◐ 라니냐 현상이 중서부태평양에 전반적으로 확대되면서 참치선망 주요 어장인 키리바시, 투발루, 솔로몬 수역 등에서 참치 어군이 군집되지 않고 있습니다.
◐ 특히 키리바시와 투발루 수역은 기상이 좋지 않고, 조류가 강하여 참치 어군이 포착되더라도 투망에 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황입니다. 이러한 영향은 가다랑어를 비롯하여, 황다랑어 어획에도 영향을 미치고 있는 상황입니다.
◐ 참치 수출의 위협 요인
참치 생산이 저조한 가운데, 국제 유가 및 컨테이너 수급 상황 역시 참치 수출에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.
◐ 연료유의 경우 참치 조업선 직접 경비의 약 30%를 차지할 정도로 원가 비중에 큰 부분을 차지하는데, 불안정한 국제 유가로 인해 참치 생산 원가 역시 큰 변동을 보이고 있는 상황입니다.
