- ◾ 최근 노르웨이 하천에 곱사연어(Pink Salmon)가 대거 출현하면서, 정부는 32개 강에 인공지능 얼굴인식 기술을 활용하여 이들 연어를 포획·처분하고 있음
- 노르웨이는 곱사연어의 출현이 자국 주력 품목인 대서양연어에 스트레스를 주는 등 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것을 우려함
- 노르웨이 환경청 조사에 따르면, 살처분된 연어는 약 23만 미에 달하며, 그 중 약 16만 미는 인공지능 포획 장치에 의해 살처분됨
- 주로 러시아에 서식하는 곱사연어는 국경이 맞닿은 노르웨이에 2년마다 유입되고 있음
