- 한국 삼성중공업 액화천연가스(LNG) 캐리어 2척 수주
- 한국 삼성중공업(Samsung Heavy Industries)은 17만 4천 cbm 액화천연가스(LNG) 캐리어 2척 건조 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
2척의 추가 LNG 캐리어에 대한 옵션을 포함하고 있는 이번 계약 건은 신원을 확인할 수 없는 소유자에 의해 이사회 승인을 받아야 정식계약이 체결된다. LNG 캐리어의 1척 가격은 184백만 달러 또는 2척 모두 약 3억 6,800만 달러로 추정된다. 선박은 2020년 7월과 10월에 인도될 것이라고 성명서는 전했다.
LNG 운반선에는 보일 오프(Boil-off) 가스를 낮추기 위한 재액화설비(Re-liquefaction)를 갖춘 Mark-Ⅲ Flex 유형 밀폐 시스템이 장착됩니다. 삼성중공업에 따르면 이 선박은 천연 가스와 디젤을 연료로 모두 사용할 수 있는 저압 시스템을 특징으로 하는 "트렌딩(trending)" 이중연료 엔진인 X-DF에 의해 구동될 것이라고 한다.
