Main objectives of this study are to review current information technology related with shipping and port industry and to build long-term plans in their shipping and port industry which are tightly connected with national logistics potentiality. 



The study review internet can be seen as a communication platform, as well as a supply chain management concept. Add, the study survey composition of EDI network using XML, utilization of cargo tracking system based on global position system and connection of ERP system with individual enterprises for foundation of logistics center of the East Asia regional. 



Finally, the study suggests Shipping and Port Internet Data Center : SP-IDC) carrying out logistics policies to establish information hub and action plan, which reflect current IDC concept.
